Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Bottomline

Is my data safe?

Read-only access through official APIs. Fresh data is captured every time a report runs, encrypted in transit, and never stored. The only data we keep are the results of our analysis. Disconnect any time.

How long does setup take?

About 10 minutes. You connect your tools through secure OAuth connections (the same "Sign in with..." flow you already use). After that, your report builds itself every month.

What if my data is messy?

That is actually the point. Bottomline finds mismatches, gaps, and orphaned records across your systems. Your first report shows you exactly how messy things are and what it is costing you. Most businesses start at around 50% match rate and improve from there.

What tools does Bottomline connect to?

QuickBooks, Xero, HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Stripe, Mailchimp, and more coming soon. You only need an accounting tool to get started. Each additional connection makes the report more complete.

How much does it cost?

Founder pricing is $99/month, locked in for waitlist members. After launch, pricing goes to $199/month. One collected overdue invoice typically pays for a full year.

Do I need all the integrations to get value?

No. You can start with just your accounting software and get revenue, expenses, margins, cash flow, and receivables analysis. Each additional tool you connect (CRM, ads, payments) unlocks more insights like customer acquisition costs, ad platform verification, and customer journey mapping.

How often do I get a report?

Once a month, on the first. Bottomline pulls fresh data from all your connected tools and generates a complete report. You can also generate a report on demand any time you want an updated snapshot.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. No contracts, no cancellation fees. You can disconnect your tools and cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.

Is this a dashboard?

No. Dashboards give you charts and expect you to figure out what they mean. Bottomline gives you a plain-English report that tells you what happened, why it matters, and what to do about it. You read it once a month instead of staring at dashboards every day.

What kind of businesses is this for?

Service businesses that use accounting software and want to understand where money is really coming from and going. Contractors, agencies, professional services, SaaS companies, and any business spending on ads or managing a sales pipeline.
